Context

  • Channels: Account-based marketing, content marketing, direct outreach
  • Audience: US-based businesses needing ERP solutions
  • Goal: Market entry and client acquisition for Singapore-based ERP provider

Strategy at a glance

  • Market research and ICP refinement by analyzing account responses to identify high-value verticals and regions that maximize conversion potential.
  • Collaborative territory mapping with sales team to select high-potential US regions that align with Ideal Customer Profile for initial campaign rollout.
  • Value-first engagement strategy using company culture quotes as conversation starters, creating genuine connection points before any sales approach.
  • Content-led nurturing approach with promised reports and booklets that provide value while identifying “Jobs to be Done” in target accounts.
  • Hyper-personalized follow-up leveraging initial engagement data to tailor subsequent outreach and build familiarity before sales conversations.

What I did

1) Market Intelligence, ICP Refinement & ABM-Ready Segmentation

  • Analyzed past clients to understand who buys, why they buy, and how our service solves their key pain points.
  • Collaborated with Sales to map high-potential regions and build a prioritized ABM list (914 accounts) using firmographic + behavioral data.
  • Created clear ICP tiers and disqualification criteria, clustering accounts into ICP, Future Pipeline, and Active Focus.

2) Sales-First Content System + Value-First Engagement

  • Repurposed case studies into objection-handling assets, industry demos, guides, and unified content for prospects + customers.
  • Ran a culture-focused value-first engagement play (quotes, insights) positioned as market research, earning higher response rates + trust.
  • Published quotes in campaigns/blogs to create social proof, while surfacing buyer pains, JTBD, and operational gaps.

3) Multi-Channel Demand, Nurture & Relationship Building

  • Activated podcasts, webinars, small-group workshops, and inbound programs to surface intent and accelerate deals.
  • Used promised reports/booklets to nurture early engagement and deepen understanding of each account’s JTBD.
  • Leveraged familiarity from value-first plays for smoother conversations, personalized follow-ups, and higher-quality sales pipelines.

4) Conversion Optimization + Automation (AI + n8n)

  • Used insights from culture-engagement and content interactions for hyper-personalized outreach and deal acceleration.
  • Maintained consistent touchpoints through content delivery, event signals, and tailored follow-ups.
  • Automated scoring, segmentation, and workflows with AI + n8n so Sales/Marketing could focus on personalization, trust, and high-value conversations.

What I Did (4-Step End-to-End ABM System)

1) Built the ABM-Ready Foundation (Days 0–20)

Analyzed CRM data, win/loss notes, sales calls, and channel performance to refine the ICP with firm disqualification criteria.

Created three segmentation clusters—ICP, Future Pipeline, and Active Focus—to prioritize accounts by buying committee structure and readiness.

Outcome: A Sales-aligned, prioritized ABM list designed for relevance, not volume.

2) Created a Sales-First Content System (Days 20–40)

Repurposed case studies and existing assets into problem-led, insight-driven content that addressed adoption gaps, slow decision cycles, and BI limitations.

Built industry-specific demos, guides, and one unified content system used across both prospect and customer journeys.

Every asset was designed to: answer an objection, trigger intent, or move an account toward conversation.

3) Launched Multi-Channel Demand + Engagement Motions (Days 45–90)

Podcast (weekly): Captured buyer insight through SMEs, clients, and partners; repurposed into clips, newsletters, battlecards, objection sheets, and ROI tools.

Webinars (quarterly): Partner-led sessions with polls and live Q&A; intent signals pushed straight to SDRs.

Small-group workshops: Invite-only, high-trust, hands-on sessions that created demos, POCs, and expansion plays.

In-person ABM activations: AI + intent data for attendee targeting; live engagement capture; 24–48h personalized follow-up.

Inbound support: Blog content, newsletters, targeted persona ads, and programmatic ABM to warm accounts and capture intent.

4) Automated & Scaled with AI + n8n (Ongoing)

Used AI and n8n to automate scoring, segmentation, follow-ups, and content routing—turning manual workflows into scalable pipelines.

This freed Sales + Marketing to focus on analysis, personalization, trust, and high-value conversations rather than admin work.

Why it worked

The culture quote approach created genuine engagement before any sales pitch. By leading with value and curiosity rather than product features, we built familiarity and trust that made subsequent sales conversations feel natural rather than intrusive.
